Specialized X-Ray Operator Course
Planned so as to specialize the Civil Aviation Protection Agent (APAC) in the operation and handling of X-Ray equipment used as preventive measure to detect weapons and objects which may be used against the civil aviation.
The target audience consists in the Civil Aviation Protection agents which will operate X-Ray equipment to inspect carry-on luggage; passengers’, crew member’s, and service personnel’s checked-in luggage; cargo; and other items.
Purpose:
Upon conclusion, the student will be able to operate and handle the X-Ray devices used as preventive measure to detect weapons and objects which may be used against civil aviation.
Total hours: 28 hours
Requirements for registration:
a) be trained as Civil Aviation Protection Agent, through the successful conclusion of the Basic Civil Aviation Safety Course and approval in ANAC’s Certification Exam;
b) present proof of employment granted by the organization to which he/she belongs, or a hiring term of commitment issued by an airline, airport administration, concessionaire company, or ESATA;
c) present a criminal background check.
